Professor Dan Gazit received a B.Sc in Biomedical Sciences and a Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. After specializing in oral pathology and practicing in the clinic for several years, he obtained a Ph.D. in Bone biology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Since then, Prof. Dan Gazit has led numerous projects in skeletal regeneration. In his research, he has pioneered the use of genetically engineered mesenchymal stem cell and their applications in skeletal tissue repair.
